Funkmata Interview With “Radio Power 77.7”!

1- Can you please tell us how did you start your music career?
- I started my musical career when I was a teenager in School in Geneva.
Had a lot of jam sessions with renowned musicians who often lived in Montreux. Recorded my 1st. single in 1982 at Mountain studios in Montreux which belonged to Queen.
2- What are your achievements so far and main targets please?
- I have worked with many session men mostly from Rock bands and did a few shows when I was living in Switzerland.
3- What are your near future plans and projects including your new upcoming release?
- My near future plans are to make way for younger talent from Ghana and other African countries to break into the international market in a seamless fashion. The music should be such that one cannot predefine from where it was recorded. Just the quality counts.
4- Are you opened to work on multiple music genres or just one?
- I’m more than opened to work on multiple genres if the vibe is there.
5- What do you like to tell to your supporters out there now?
- I make Therapeutic Funk for the Soul. If you listen well you will find the hidden key.
